The law of attraction is many things to many people. First and foremost it is a process for creating that which you desire in this world. And we are not speaking just of material desire, but indeed more of the desire that you have to transform and to expand in consciousness and experience. There is one thing that holds you more than anything from bringing to you that which you desire, and that is interfering with the vibration from where you created it. You interfere by offering resistance and there are so many ways in which resistance shows up for you. Let us be here to explore lowering your resistance. And let us start with asking you – is it ever worth it to resist that which you desire?
How does one know that they are in resistance to something? There are many indicators and the strongest is that you do not feel good. It may not be a physical feeling, although it may. It is more often an emotional indicator that you receive. A feeling that you have that tells you that something is wrong, something is out of place.
Some of the more common resistant emotions are: anger, resentment, fear, depression, overwhelm, grief, sadness, separation, hopelessness. Whatever you may call any of them, they all stem from fear and are different aspects of it.
To stay out of any of the fear based, resistance breeding emotions we encourage you to focus upon love. That is not to say that you see everything as perfect, even though it is. It means that you chose to look beyond what you find to be the seeming imperfections and to focus on love and keeping your heart open.
When you are able to keep your heart open is when you allow more of what you desire to flow into your life and you experience greater joy and flow.
Again now we ask you is it worth it? And the question we offer to you to ask yourself when you are in a not so good feeling place is “Is it worth closing my heart for?” Keeping your heart open is your portal to drawing in all the abundance you seek in life. What is it that you can do in the moment to open your heart even further?
A favorite of ours is to focus upon appreciation for when there is pure appreciation there is no room in your heart for resistance. What is it that you can appreciate about the topic that you are resisting? We do not advise you to try to appreciate things that are not there – to make up what it is that you want – but instead to select the aspects of the topic that you truly do appreciate.
And if you are not able in the moment to do just that, find anything to appreciate. What is more important is that you are feeling good as opposed to what it is that you are feeling good about. You might like to focus on the beauty of something that you experienced earlier in the day or even in the previous days. Perhaps you baked your favorite cookies and you focus on what it is that you love so much about them. Or you enjoyed an excursion with or without a friend and you focus on the aspects that you really enjoyed, returning to the feeling of love and joy that you felt. Use any hook that you have to get into a better feeling place and to get there as often as possible.
There are very many more processes that you can do to get into that better feeling place and to shift your vibration. And we say shift rather than raise because many times it is far easier for you to lower your resistance than it is to raise your vibration – purely from a place of semantics and what feels easier for you to do.
What is it that you are closing your heart for? And is it worth it? Or would you rather line up with the joy and exuberance that you are as spirit and open your heart to the possibilities of joy that you often imagine, yet resist believing, are true?
