About Living In Attraction
In March 2006 Lena and I began attending an Abraham Hicks Meetup group being held in Oak Park, IL. It was wonderful being able to connect with so many like-minded people and talk about the Law of Attraction. In July the original faciliator of the group stepped down (we miss you Maya) and Lena and I offered to take over the group rather than let it dissolve. In October we moved the group to Transitions Bookplace in Chicago where it stayed until Transitions closed in August 2008. The discussion group now meets at Flourish Studios in Chicago.
During its time at Transitions the group grew considerably. It was normal to have 20 to 30 people attend the monthly group, and we’ve had as many as 47 attendees. Since moving to its new home at Flourish, attendance has dipped a little but is picking up quickly.
Though we still focus mostly on the Abraham Hicks perspective, we discuss the Law of Attraction and other universal laws and principles as taught by a variety of teachers such as Bob Proctor, Michael Beckwith and others from The Secret, Wayne Dyer and many others. We’ve renamed the group the Living In Attraction Discussion Group to reflect the broadening of this perspective. The members of the group bring a wonderful variety of experiences and perspectives to share, and all views are welcome to be shared in a friendly and supportive environment.
The group now meets twice a month, and additional meetings and means to connect with members are being discussed, from phone gatherings to potlucks to other events. We’ve also started a workshop series to further assist those interested in really applying the various teachings and practices in their lives. Our goal is simple – to connect with like-minded people and support each other in learning and living these principles to consciously create a life of joy and abundance.
Lena and I feel blessed to have met so many wonderful like-minded people over the years, and we look forward to connecting and supporting you in your journey of growth!
